Referral Amplifier Program

Designed to support the firms up and coming leaders. This is a focused one-day working session that builds your firm's complete referral engine — COI ecosystem, tier strategy, scripts, tracking, and 30-day sprint — before participants leave the room.

This program requires a full-day, on-site training. Participants will receive pre-work, as well as a day-of work book, tracking tools, and a 30-day check-in.

The program will count for 8 hours of CPE.

1

Prework & Self Evaluation

In order to make the most of our one-day session, all participants must complete a self evaluation workbook and pull data around top performing clients, services, and opportunities. This work should take no more than one hour and ample lead time is provided.

2

Before you can amplify your referral network, you need to understand its current scope. Most firms and individuals significantly underestimate the number of referral relationships they have access to. This section helps you map every potential referral source across five categories.

3

Your existing client base is your most powerful and most underutilized referral asset. Clients who are genuinely satisfied with your firm's service will refer — but only if you make it easy, timely, and natural for them to do so. Most CPA firms leave referrals from clients on the table simply because they never created a system to activate them.

4

Centers of Influence are the highest-leverage referral relationships a CPA firm can cultivate. A single attorney or financial advisor with an aligned client base can deliver 3-10 qualified referrals per year once the relationship is properly activated. Yet most CPA firms manage COI relationships informally, inconsistently, and reactively. The COI Partnership Framework replaces informal relationship management with a structured approach that treats each COI relationship as a professional partnership with defined expectations, mutual value exchange, and a regular rhythm of contact.

5

The referral experience is the least discussed but arguably the most important part of a referral amplification system. How you treat referred prospects from the moment of introduction directly determines whether your referral sources continue to refer. A poor referral experience does not just lose a prospect — it loses the referral relationship.

6

Before you can effectively generate referrals, you need to be crystal clear on who you are, what you do best, and why clients and centers of influence (COIs) should send business your way. This starts with crafting a compelling positioning statement and identifying where you deliver the most specialized value. When your brand is sharp and your expertise is consistently communicated, you become the natural, go-to referral within your network — transforming existing relationships into a sustainable pipeline.

7

The biggest risk for any new referral program is not failure — it is inertia. This 90-day sprint is designed to create enough early momentum that the system becomes self-sustaining. Follow it as written during the first 90 days, then transition to the ongoing monthly and quarterly rhythm.
